Call me an expert is a bit to much. xD

In order to make the pieces work you'll need to save them with indexed colors.

I recommend just looking up "<your graphics tool> set indexed colors" in the search engine of your choice.
If there are any problems I can convert them for you.

Ok, I've found the "indexed color" option in Acorn: it's hidden in "Export → Web export". I hope this work:

I must do it in 2 messages because attachments are limited to 3 files:

Thanks. They look a lot better than the previous ones, but I'm still not entirely convinced. The ships look a bit too pixelated, I guess it's because of the 40 x 40 format.
In any case, it was worth trying... Actually, what do you think?... I leave it up to you; I sure wouldn't mind if you inserted back the original dragon-heads, which you designed, as I read recently in the 'history of this site' part...

The other designs I did for the Ard Ri game - the funny little vikings with swords and axes - do look very good though, IMHO...

Greetings
Luk

I think the ships are fine, and that version 2 is an improvement.
Next planned tournament is Sea 15x15, so they'll come into good use then.

Could you insert them on Brandubh too, please?

Thanks a lot. It works. 😁

Apart from the funny look, I think it should take me some time to get used to it. 😜

It occurred to me that the previous king was too similar to the defenders to be easily spotted.

So I aged him a bit (which makes sense for a king):
