Historical games in pop culture

How about a thread for tips about movies, books, comics, video/computer games etc where historical board games pop up?
Inspired by Sámi-Norwegian author Sigbjørn Skåden new novel where he's made up a Dablo game, based on South Sámi Dablo, that is traditional to the village where his story takes place. The game eventually becomes an important plot point.
