Sáhkku is not a viking game. It is both likely to be much younger than the viking age, and it is Sámi game and not a Norse game. So Viking-esque pieces would be very inappropriate for Sáhkku. Even though they're pretty designs, in my opinion this is very unadvisable.

Okay, didn't know that. Maybe Hagbard can insert them in another tafl game. Would be fun, a female army defending the king against male attackers. Better yet, maybe I'd design a queen instead of a king...

I'd like to design a Queen instead of a King, as the leader of a white female army in opposition to the black male attackers, (which I both designed for sahkku, but seem to be irrelevant). Question is: do you have another Tafl-variant available to apply?

Let me know, then I'll design a queen. You could see the female warriors as being 'walkures'

I designed some very simple, very clean looking pieces. They have a 'wood carved' look, not unlike your own Tablut pieces... Maybe you can apply them to the upcoming World Champion Tournament game (Tablut)? What do you think? As always, there's absolutely no obligation here... but if you like them, please feel free to apply them in any game you like.
