Here is a new set I've made. It's based on (kind of) historical shields:
For the black side I used classic dark viking shields, while the white side represent a descendants of Niall Noígíallach (founder of the Ó Néill disnasty), so I made their shields with Ó Néill arms on them.

Of course, this irish / viking set was especially designed for brandubh games, even if I prefer the other one I've made before with funny faces (because I love the king happy face).

We'll really need a set selector.

The Old Hnefatafl 11x11 set:

Hnefihunter told me the colors of my Brandubh pieces were a bit too bright for him. So I worked on pictures to slightly decrease tones and reduce the number of colors. I also reduced ears and horns sizes to increase spaces between pieces. Here is the result (old design on the left, new one on the right):

And here is the King.
