Three changes have been made since last year:
- A night pause has been introduced in the timing to protect players' sleep.
- Round 2 will be set up more appropriately.
Last year's Copenhagen Round 2 was a disaster. The round did fulfil its main purpose: the strongest players advanced, and weaker players were eliminated. But the setup turned the games into a mere formality - matches were simply executions. This year, Round 2 matchups will be far more balanced. - The four tournament tracks will start at staggered intervals: first Copenhagen, a week later Historical and Sea Battle, and one more week later Race Games.
