French characters

Post by commentjouer » Mon Aug 26, 2024 12:32 pm

Hello ! I have a problem with the chat.

I can't use some characters used in French like :

1. "Ç ç" used in the word "Français" (French).
2."É é" used in the word "Doré" (Masculine form of Golden)
3."Ê ê" used in the word "Être" (Infinitive form of the verb meaning "To be")
etc....

I think the problem exist for others languages using latin characters but I didn't tried others.

I can use cyrilic script without problem when I write in Russian but I can't use all latin characters.
I suppose these characters are blocked as a security measure but can we find a way for the possibility to use characters used in any language.

True, texts are processed by a function to protect against hackers. That function gives problems to special latin characters. Including Danish, so that instead of æøå I sometimes must write ae, oe and aa.

Let me guess. I suppose your first name is "Åge". Am I right ?

Maybe , I'm wrong and we can write only "Aage".

I think to "Aarhus" because the orthograpghy "Århus" is anymore official since 2011 for this city because the municipal council took this decision.

That's all true.
In my case, however, accidentally the name is spelled the old fashioned way with Aa.
