Linnaeus' rule n°10

Post by Abbas Agraphicus » Fri Mar 19, 2021 10:04 am

Hi everyone, I was wondering:
why the part of rule n.10 from the Linnaeus' diary that goes "...if his own man is occupying the 4th place, and if that soldier in 2 is positioned between the king and an enemy soldier, it is killed.", was not included in the final ruleset used here on the website? Was it unbalancing the game too much in favour of black? Just out of curiosity.
Thanks! ;)

No it's because the rule #10 seems to be superfluous. In this situation, with a few extra moves black catches the king anyway.
