Re: Sahkku, Rules
Received from Erik Østergaard, Denmark: ...

Re: Daabloe and Cuhkka
Saami Dablo was tested with mandatory capture, and "Brave-Frog", Ukraine, discovered that this makes the game impossible, because the king is inevitably captured in the first three moves, presuming the handed down setup of pieces: http://aagenielsen.dk/dablo/dabloReplay.php?netspil1x=32315f323137353...

Re: General rules
Another note on the possible corner capture rule discussed 2018. Such a rule is actually described for several ancient board games closely related to tafl. The Roman Ludus Latrunculi is considered to be a predecessor of the tafl games. The Greek Petteia is considered to be a predecessor of Ludus La...

Copied from the small forum Oct. 30th 2022: Draganov: @Hagbard, I joined Thomas's invitation to play Daldos 3x12 and saw that we both started the game with three active pieces. Is this a new variant? I think this variant could be better than the old Daldos. However, is there any historical evidence ...

Re: Hnefatafl Internet Championship
The timing idea of Cacreal in combination with the method above was tested All games for the latest two years 2021 and 2022 were reviewed regarding the timing. Had the timing method been the here mentioned, then out of 12047 games only 23 games would have got into trouble with end game timeout limi...

Re: Hnefatafl Internet Championship
Does it mean that if someone's time buffer is -6 days, he/she will be timed out if can't respond with a move in 2 hours after the opponent's move. If this is the true and a player A has to respond in 2 hours, the player B just need to make a move during the night and will win the game. That's right...
