Re: Championship

Splitting the triathlon. The triathlon tournament 2015 took 148 dage = 5 months to finish. And 5 long months it was with the same group of 14 players where others could not join in after the combined tournament had started. The internet seems not a very suitable place for a complex event like this,...

Re: Gaming activity

Corey Hart ("Brench") says in an educational video (time 6.00): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Cr2fZXKoW8 That's not as balanced as chess. But real game balance is very diffucult in an asymmetric game, and given that the asymmetry is part of the charm of this particular game ... that kind of game ...

Game balance 1.00 (perfect) means probability of white win: 50% black win: 50% The match is a tie if both players win as black or if they both win as white. Probability for this to happen is 50% * 50% + 50% * 50% = 50.0...

Re: Hnefatafl Internet Championship

This is my bid for an evaluation of the Championship Tournament 2017: As usual my bid will look much like last year. What worked well. 2.5 months of signing in before the tournament (July, August and half September) with an Are-You-Sure. That everybody can join. We had several new names again, who ...

the search in the Games archive doesn't seem to work for games from 2014 and earlier. Is there a way to search for them explicitly?

Re: Tawlbwrdd 11x11

Yesterday I brought with me the Hnefatafl game to a family birthday party. All the guests were very unaquainted with Hnefatafl, only four or five even ever heard about it. http://aagenielsen.dk/tawlbwrdd4_r.png I invited three of the guests for a game of Hnefatafl and decided to use the Tawlbwrdd 1...
