Re: Re writing the rules a bit

I always thought

The Berserk Rule: When a piece makes a capture, the player may continue to move the same piece as long as he makes captures with it.
The king may finish a berserk run with a winning move to a corner square.

to short for a complex rule which can be devastating when used.

Re: Re writing the rules a bit

Berserk Hnefatafl Rules 1. Two players may participate. One player plays the king's side, with a king and his defenders, and the other player plays the attackers. There are twelve defenders, one of the defenders being the king's knight, and twenty-four attackers, four of them being viking commander...

Re: Re writing the rules a bit

I just added that specifically for the way the software works. I ran into that not so long ago where someone through they had a draw because they kept moving i10-i11 when it was really a loss. It does help to set certain expectations. He could have resigned, but I was not giving a draw when I could ...

Re writing the rules a bit

When I first start playing, reading the rules confused me, mainly because the section were not all together. I have gotten very annoyed losing games because I missed something which was not where I thought it should be. So, I rearranged things a bit only adding a little bit here and there Fetlar Hne...

Hello

I am Delray Curtis, a.k.a jrton80 here and elsewhere - which is a Dart reference I started using once I started picking up ton 80 in Darts (3 triple 20s). Of course, I am so out of practice - I only hit one the last time I played a _01 game. This is the third time I attempted to write something for ...

Re: Puzzle 10

i4 to i9 would make it so that any move by j10 would end the game from i10 to j10, proper swaming of black would prevent any other outcome

Re: Puzzle 8

I am assuming that's 6 white moves moving the King only:
White K4-A4, Black C2-A2, White A4-A3, Black J2-A2, White A3-D3, Black A2-A3 (failure to do this will result in 2 moves to escape at A1), White D3-D10, and from there it is 2 moves to escape at A11 or K11 which cannot be stopped
